## FlyHub didn’t track my flight

**Check:**

1. **Did you start the flight?** — You must click **Start Flight** in My Flights before flying.
2. **Is your sim connected?** — For MSFS, SimConnect connects automatically. For X-Plane, ensure the FlyHub plugin is installed and X-Plane was restarted.
3. **Are you at the departure airport?** — Spawn at the departure gate before starting.
4. **Did you choose Online?** — If you chose Offline, FlyHub won’t track telemetry; you’ll need to finish manually.

**If/Then:**\
If X-Plane isn’t connecting, reinstall the plugin from Settings and restart X-Plane.\
If MSFS isn’t connecting, ensure MSFS is running before you start the flight in FlyHub.

## Sim crashed — how do I recover?

1. **Reopen FlyHub** as soon as you can.
2. Go to the **Dashboard** or **My Flights**.
3. If recovery is available, you’ll see **Recover Flight** (amber button).
4. Click it and follow the steps:
   * Restore your last known position
   * Match fuel (ZFW) and payload in your sim
   * Spawn at the restored position
   * Continue and finish the flight normally

**Recovery expires after 6 hours.** After that, you’ll need to start the flight again.

## I can’t book airlines (they’re locked)

On the **free tier**, you get:

* **5 weekly rotating airlines** — They change every Monday at 00:00 UTC.
* **1 monthly airline** — You choose one extra airline per month.
* **Other airlines** — Locked (shown dimmed with a lock icon).

**Solutions:**

* Use one of your 5 rotating airlines.
* Choose your monthly airline in the Dashboard (free tier section).
* Upgrade to **Premium** to unlock all airlines.

## I hit booking limits

**Free users** can have up to **6 bookings** at once (upcoming + active).

**Solutions:**

* Complete or cancel some flights to free up slots.
* Upgrade to **Premium** for a higher limit.

## X-Plane not connecting

1. Go to **Settings → X-Plane Plugin**.
2. Click **Select X-Plane Directory** and choose your X-Plane 12 folder.
3. Click **Install Plugin** (or **Update Plugin** if already installed).
4. **Restart X-Plane** — This is required after install or update.
5. Start a flight in FlyHub and confirm you’re at the departure airport.

If it still doesn’t connect, confirm you’re using X-Plane 12 and that the plugin was installed successfully. Try reinstalling the plugin and restarting X-Plane again.

## FlyHub won’t open / it’s already running

On **Windows**, if you enabled **Close to Tray** (desktop app):

* Clicking the X minimizes FlyHub to the **system tray** (near the clock).
* FlyHub stays running in the background.

**To reopen:** Click the FlyHub icon in the system tray.

**To fully quit:** Right-click the tray icon and choose **Quit**.

## Why is my score low?

Typical causes:

* **Hard landing** — G-force > 2.0 at touchdown.
* **Lights** — Beacon, strobe, or nav lights off when they should be on.
* **Gear** — Retracted too late after liftoff, or gear-up landing.
* **Unstable approach** — Speed, vertical speed, or glideslope issues on final.
* **Runway** — Excursion, overrun, or poor touchdown zone.
* **Crash** — G-force > 3.0 or other crash conditions.
* **Cheating** — Teleport/slew detected.

**Check your logbook detail page** — It shows a breakdown of penalties for that flight.

## Offline vs Online — what’s the difference?

| Mode | How it works | XP |
| ----------- | ----------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------ |
| **Online** | Telemetry from MSFS or X-Plane | Full XP |
| **Offline** | You enter flight time, landing quality, etc. manually | Reduced XP based on trust and plausibility |

**Use Online** when you’re on PC with MSFS or X-Plane and want full telemetry.\
**Use Offline** when you’re on console, or when you can’t or don’t want to use telemetry.

See [Tracking Methods](/tracking-methods) for the full comparison.
