# Virtual Airlines Community

> Explore pilot rankings, airline rankings, and worldwide Virtual Airlines activity.

# Community

The Community page is an informational view of Virtual Airlines. Use it to compare pilot and airline activity and to explore where VA flights are taking place. It does not book or change flights.

## Pilot ranking

The pilot ranking can be sorted by **Experience** or **Flights**. Experience is shown first when that view is selected; ties are resolved by completed flights. The page shows up to 25 rows at a time, while the underlying community list can include up to 50 pilots.

## Airline ranking

The airline ranking highlights reputation, flights completed in the last 30 days, and pilot count. Recent flights are a 30-day activity measure; they do not necessarily represent every operation the airline has ever completed.

## World activity

The activity view summarizes the last seven days with a map and totals such as:

* active pilots;
* operating airlines;
* airports used;
* city pairs;
* airframes in operation.

The map is sampled for performance, so it may not draw every individual flight. Use the totals and rankings as an overview rather than as a complete flight log.

## Refresh and empty states

You do not need to belong to a particular airline to read the community view. The page is not a live traffic map and does not continuously update; reload it when you need a newer snapshot.

The activity view can contain up to 5,000 sampled records, and the ranking cards show only the leading entries. If no activity is available for the selected period, the map and related cards show an empty state.

## If the page cannot load

Reload the page and try again. A partially available ranking or map should not be interpreted as a change to your pilot record. Follow the recovery instruction shown by the page.

## How rankings relate to the game

Community is a public snapshot, not an accounting report. Airline standing considers reputation, operational quality, passenger satisfaction, community activity, and contract performance; cash is intentionally not a shortcut to a higher community position. Pilot experience and flights describe the pilot record instead.

Read [Airline Reputation and Progression](./reputation-and-progress) before comparing two airlines, and [How Virtual Airlines Works](./how-virtual-airlines-works) for the difference between public profiles, pilot services, and private management pages.
