# Your first VA flight

> Join an airline and complete your first Virtual Airlines operation.

## Enter Virtual Airlines

Virtual Airlines is available to all signed-in Free and Premium pilots. You do not need an invitation or tester approval.

1. [Create or sign in to your FlyHub account](https://flyhub.app/login?next=%2Fdashboard).
2. Download the Windows desktop app from your account dashboard, install it, and sign in with the same account.
3. Select **Virtual Airlines** on Home and complete your pilot profile. Free accounts are welcome; personal Premium is not required.
4. Follow the welcome flow. If First Wings is offered, it provides a starting airline. Leaving it voluntarily does not automatically enroll you again.

If Virtual Airlines is missing from Home, restart the desktop app and sign in again. If it is still missing or temporarily unavailable, see [troubleshooting](./troubleshooting) or contact support. Finish or resolve an active flight or recovery before changing modes.

## Join an airline

Open **Find Airlines**, review the airline's requirements, and submit an application when available. A pending application is not membership and does not authorize bookings. Check **Inbox** for the decision. An airline may be closed to applications, at capacity, or require a pilot rating you have not reached.

## Reserve and fly

1. Open **Dispatch** after admission. Select an eligible airline, route, operating day, and available aircraft.
2. Review the quote, payload, aircraft requirements, and reservation conditions before booking. Dates and operating days use UTC.
3. Open **My Flights**, select the reservation, and follow its tracking instructions. Use the simulator aircraft and configuration required by the reservation.
4. Complete the flight and review its result. A completed tracking session may still need validation or settlement; do not create a duplicate flight to force an update.
5. If interrupted, use the recovery option attached to that operation. Keep the existing reservation and local recovery data until resolved.

An empty Dispatch list does not mean your account needs Premium. Check membership, aircraft permissions, operating day, and availability. See [troubleshooting](./troubleshooting), [Dispatch](./dispatch), and [flight lifecycle](./flight-lifecycle).
