Career Finance

Career Finance is where you manage money in Career Mode. Use it to understand what already happened, what costs are coming, and whether you can afford loans, relocation, property, or career moves.

Account and Bank

Finance has two main views:
ViewUse it for
AccountReviewing past transactions and ledger history.
BankPlanning around balance, cash flow, debt, credit, loans, property, and medical checks.

Account

The Account view can show:
  • Lifetime income.
  • Lifetime expenses.
  • Net career flow.
  • Peak balance.
  • Record count.
  • First record date.
  • Account ledger.
Use Account when you want to audit what happened. Examples:
  • Salary payment.
  • Loan payment.
  • Medical check.
  • Union dues.
  • Property income.
  • Penalty.
  • Expense.

Bank

The Bank view is for planning and financial decisions. It can show:
  • Current balance.
  • 30-day cash flow.
  • Loan payments.
  • Outstanding debt.
  • Credit score.
  • Rental income.
  • Pay rate.
  • Weekly loan due.
  • Financial runway.
  • Monthly budget.
  • Next paycheck.
  • Medical clearance.
  • Loan offers.
  • Property investment.
  • Active liabilities.

Payroll

Career payroll runs weekly on Monday at 13:00 UTC. Your pay can depend on:
  • Contract.
  • Role.
  • Career flight hours.
  • Training status.
  • Seniority.
  • Bid-board or special bonuses.
Training pay can be lower than full employment pay. Training contracts from normal market offers can pay 50% of the employment rate while you complete the training program. Internal type opportunities keep your current salary during training. Career pay scales are based on airline tier, region, and rank. Higher-tier airlines generally pay more, and region affects the final pay band. North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Oceania trend higher than South America and Africa. Rank also matters: Senior First Officer and Senior Captain use higher pay multipliers than the base seat level. Every 8 weeks of continuous employment can add a seniority bonus to pay, up to the system cap.

Expenses

Career Mode has recurring and occasional costs. Costs can include:
  • Taxes or social contributions.
  • Rent or housing.
  • Food and groceries.
  • Transport.
  • Utilities.
  • Subscriptions.
  • Social spending.
  • Commuting or away-from-base costs.
  • Union dues.
  • Medical checks.
  • Loan payments.
  • Loan interest.
  • Late fees.
  • Personal events.
Use Finance before making decisions that cost money.

Medical checks

Medical clearance can affect whether you can fly. If a medical check is due, pay it from Finance when the app allows it. Ignoring medical clearance can block Career dispatch. Medical checks run on a recurring cycle after training. FlyHub warns you before the due date. If the check becomes overdue and cannot be paid, Career flight duty can be grounded until the medical payment is handled. Medical check costs vary by career stage and airline tier. Starter and junior pilots can see lower ranges, while normal checks can cost several hundred dollars.

Loans

Loans can help when you need money, but they create weekly payments. Before signing a loan, review:
  • Total amount.
  • Weekly payment.
  • Total repayment.
  • Interest.
  • Your current balance.
  • Your expected pay.
  • Other weekly costs.
Missed loan payments can damage credit and reputation. Repeated missed payments can lead to default. Career credit starts at 700 and ranges from 300 to 850. Credit can change when:
  • A new loan is created.
  • You make on-time payments.
  • You fully pay off a loan.
  • You miss a payment.
  • A loan defaults.
Standard loan rules include:
  • You need at least 30 Career days before normal bank loans are available.
  • The minimum credit score is 520.
  • Debt-to-income limits apply.
  • Standard users can hold 1 active standard loan.
  • Stronger credit and reputation can allow 2 active standard loans.
  • Loans use weekly payments over the loan term.
  • Missed payments can add late fees.
  • A loan can default after 4 missed weeks.
Loan default is serious. It damages credit heavily and can also reduce reputation.

Property

Property purchases require money up front but can add rental income. Do not buy property only because it looks profitable. Make sure the down payment does not leave you unable to pay normal Career costs. Current property investment tiers are:
Property tierPurchase priceDown paymentMonthly net income
Starter Duplex$120,000$25,000$700
Small Apartment Blocks$360,000$75,000$3,300
Urban Mixed-Use Complex$980,000$210,000$9,600
Property income is applied through the Career finance ledger. It belongs to Career Mode only.

Personal events

Career Mode can occasionally apply random personal events. These are not flight mistakes. They are life expenses designed to make money management matter. Examples include:
  • Unexpected medical bill.
  • Car breakdown.
  • Family emergency support.
  • Home repair.
  • Pet emergency vet bill.
  • Tax adjustment notice.
  • Urgent family travel.
When a personal event happens, it appears in the finance ledger and can be mentioned in the payroll summary.

Common mistakes

  • Reading Account as a forecast. Account is history.
  • Taking loans without checking weekly payment pressure.
  • Ignoring medical checks.
  • Buying property while short on cash.
  • Forgetting that relocation, leave, resignation, and penalties can affect money.
  • Assuming payroll appears immediately after every flight. Payroll follows the Career payroll schedule.
