Career Airline Profile

The Career airline profile explains the company you work for. You usually reach it from My Company or airline details in Job Market.

What the airline profile shows

Depending on the airline, the profile can show:
  • Airline name and logo.
  • IATA and ICAO codes.
  • Callsign.
  • Country and region.
  • Operation type.
  • Star tier.
  • Hubs and bases.
  • Fleet families.
  • Route network.
  • Route map.
  • Schedule count.
  • Company activity.
  • Roster and seniority context.
  • Recent route additions or retirements.

Airline tier

The star tier matters. Tier affects:
  • Hour and reputation requirements.
  • Pay bands.
  • Union dues.
  • Medical and cost pressure.
  • Early resignation penalties.
  • Selectiveness in Job Market.
For the full tier guide, see Career Economy and Airline Tiers.

Fleet

Fleet tells you which aircraft families the airline operates. This matters because your Career type ratings only help if the airline actually uses that aircraft family. Example:
  • You have an A320 rating.
  • An airline has no A320-family aircraft.
  • That airline may require new type training before you can work normally.
For training, see Career Type Ratings and Training.

Hubs and bases

Hubs and bases shape your route life. Before choosing or moving base, review:
  • Which bases exist.
  • Which routes operate from those bases.
  • Which aircraft families operate there.
  • Whether the base fits the flying you want.
For base and location behavior, see Career Base and Current Location.

Route network

Route network shows where the airline can send you. Dispatch and Bid Board are based on employer routes, aircraft, and Career eligibility. If the airline does not operate the route or aircraft you want, that work may not appear.

Roster and seniority

Seniority affects Career progression. It can influence:
  • Bid Board access.
  • Bid awards.
  • Internal type opportunities.
  • Promotion progress.
  • Company standing.
For rank progression, see Career Ranks and Promotions.

Company actions

From My Company, you may be able to:
  • Join or leave the union.
  • Move base.
  • Request vacation or sick leave.
  • Resign.
These actions can affect money, eligibility, and employment state. Read the confirmation message before using them.

Common mistakes

  • Choosing an airline only by pay.
  • Ignoring whether the fleet matches your type ratings.
  • Moving base without checking routes from that base.
  • Assuming every route in the airline network is available to your current aircraft family.
  • Forgetting that seniority affects more than promotions.
