Career Bid Board

The Career Bid Board is the monthly route preference system. Use it when you want to rank preferred company flying instead of generating an immediate itinerary.

What Bid Board is

Bid Board is not a normal flight booking page. It is a preference submission page. You choose and rank route lines, submit them during the bid window, then FlyHub processes awards after the window closes.

When the bid window opens

The bid window opens near the end of the month and covers the next monthly award cycle. Seniority matters. Higher-seniority pilots can enter earlier waves before lower-seniority pilots. As the window moves forward, more pilots become eligible to submit bids. If the Bid Board is locked, check the message shown in the app. It usually means the window is closed, your seniority wave has not opened yet, or your Career state blocks bidding.

What you select

Bid Board asks you to submit a ranked list of route lines. Current rules require:
  • At least 20 selections.
  • Up to 30 selections.
  • A ranked order from most wanted to least wanted.
Rank your choices honestly. FlyHub uses the order to understand which lines you prefer most.

What routes are shown

Bid Board routes are built from your current Career situation. FlyHub considers:
  • Your employer.
  • Your employer route network.
  • Your current base and location.
  • Your active contract.
  • Your type ratings.
  • Your active training state.
  • Aircraft and fleet eligibility.
  • Career dispatch locks.
If you cannot see routes you expected, first check your type ratings, current employer, current location, active base, and any Career lock shown in Dispatch.

Submitting bids

  1. Open Career Mode.
  2. Go to Dispatch.
  3. Open Bid Board.
  4. Wait until your seniority wave is open.
  5. Review the available route lines.
  6. Add at least 20 selections.
  7. Rank the selections in your preferred order.
  8. Submit the bid package.
  9. Wait for award processing after the bid window closes.
Submitting does not instantly add flights to My Flights. Awards are processed later.

Award processing

After the bid window closes, FlyHub processes submitted bids and awards work based on Career rules. Results can depend on:
  • Your seniority.
  • Your ranked preferences.
  • Route availability.
  • Aircraft eligibility.
  • Company demand.
  • Other pilots bidding the same work.
When awards are processed, check Career notifications, Calendar, and Dispatch for the result.

Bid Board pay bonus

Flights awarded through Bid Board can receive a Career pay bonus. Current Bid Board bonus: 15% extra hourly pay on eligible awarded bid-board flying. The bonus is applied through Career payroll when the related flying is processed. It is not always visible immediately after submitting the bid. For payroll details, see Career Payroll and Ledger.

If your award changes

Bid awards can be affected by final processing and seniority balancing. If FlyHub has to rebalance awards, a previously expected line can be displaced. Check the notification text and Calendar state before assuming the flight was lost.

Common mistakes

  • Treating Bid Board like an instant booking tool.
  • Submitting fewer than the required selections.
  • Ranking filler routes above routes you actually want.
  • Forgetting that seniority affects access and awards.
  • Ignoring aircraft family and type-rating eligibility.
  • Expecting Bid Board flights to appear in My Flights before Calendar processing.
