Career Applications and Offers

Applications and offers are how you move between airlines in Career Mode. Use Job Market when you want a new employer, better pay, a different fleet, or a different region.

Application basics

Airlines can require:
  • Minimum Career hours.
  • Minimum reputation.
  • Suitable type rating.
  • Training availability.
  • Open application eligibility.
Meeting the minimums makes you eligible to apply. It does not guarantee acceptance.

Application limits

Current application rules include:
  • You can apply to up to 3 airlines per month.
  • You cannot apply to your current employer.
  • If employed, you normally need at least 30 days with the current airline before applying elsewhere.
  • Applications are reviewed Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 11:00 UTC.
  • Some airlines can be blocked by rehire cooldown after a firing or failed employment outcome.
Apply carefully. Wasting an application can slow down your month.

Acceptance chance

FlyHub weighs hours, reputation, airline tier, and fit. General behavior:
  • High reputation improves your chance.
  • Extra hours above the minimum can help.
  • Higher-tier airlines are more selective.
  • If you do not meet the required hours, your acceptance chance is 0%.
  • Poor reputation makes 4-star and 5-star airlines very unlikely.
For tier requirements, see Career Economy and Airline Tiers.

Interviews

Some offers require an interview. The interview has:
  • 10 questions.
  • A 48-hour window after it is opened.
  • A minimum passing score of 5 correct answers.
Interview topics can include:
  • Technical knowledge.
  • CRM.
  • Regulations.
  • Operations.
  • Weather.
Your interview result can affect the salary multiplier. A strong interview can improve the offer. A weak but passing interview can reduce the offer. A failed interview can end the opportunity.

Offer timers

Some offers expire. The timer can start after you open or acknowledge the offer. Do not open an offer unless you are ready to review it. Before the timer expires, decide whether to:
  • Accept the offer.
  • Complete the interview.
  • Arrange money for training costs.
  • Take a loan if available.
  • Decline the offer.

What an offer can include

An offer can include:
  • Airline.
  • Rank.
  • Base.
  • Aircraft family.
  • Hourly pay.
  • Training requirement.
  • Type-rating cost share.
  • Relocation cost.
  • Medical examination cost.
  • Psychological examination cost.
  • Contract signature.
Read every line before accepting.

Same type or new type

If the airline operates a type you already hold, you may be able to transfer into line work faster. If the offer requires a new type rating, you may need to:
  • Pay a pilot share.
  • Sign a training contract.
  • Complete training flights.
  • Meet the required average score.
  • Sign the employment contract after training.
For training rules, see Career Type Ratings and Training.

Passive job offers

Airlines can also reach out with job offers when your Career profile fits them. These offers are meant to feel like recruiters noticing your hours, reputation, type ratings, and current pay. They can still include timers, costs, interviews, or training requirements.

Transfer outcome

If you accept a transfer:
  • Your new employer becomes active after the contract process.
  • Your seniority can reset or start lower at the new airline.
  • Your base can change.
  • Pending flights from the previous employer can be cleared.
  • Costs can be deducted from your Career balance.

Common mistakes

  • Applying before meeting requirements.
  • Opening offers before you are ready.
  • Ignoring the interview timer.
  • Accepting a transfer without checking relocation and medical costs.
  • Assuming higher-tier means automatically better for your current type ratings.
  • Forgetting that new type training can lock Dispatch to that training family.
