Manage Airline: Overview

The management Overview is a control-room summary for an airline. It helps authorized staff spot risks and jump to the area that needs attention; it is not a flight-booking or editing screen.

Open the overview

  1. Open an active airline from Airlines.
  2. Open its public profile.
  3. Select Manage airline.
  4. Choose Overview in the management workspace.
The workspace can remember your last airline selection. In a group, the selected operating airline’s fleet, routes, and flights remain separate even when some history or policies are shared.

What it shows

  • Needs attention: recent issues, especially low-scoring flights that still need review.
  • Active flights: current or recoverable operations.
  • Fleet serviceable: aircraft that are operational and not in a maintenance-blocked state.
  • Open routes: routes currently open for operation.
  • Available cash: shown when you have finance access.
  • Applications: pending membership applications when you can manage people.
  • Active pilots: active memberships for the selected airline.
  • 90-day history: completed flights, flight quality, financial performance, and resource health when available.
With finance access, a What limits the airline strip also shows the airline’s current bottleneck with a direct action, plus Runway, Break-even, Reputation against its ceiling, and Standby savings. See Programs. The queue lists a short set of issues and current or upcoming flights. The health panel links to Finance, Fleet, Network, Operations, and People.

Take action

Select Review now on an issue to open Operations. Use the links to open the detailed management section. If no flights are scheduled, the Overview points you to Network to create active schedules. Management history is available when your permissions include it.

Roles and limits

The management overview is available to active members with management access. Owner, Manager, Operations, Fleet, Schedules, Finance, Pilots, Network, and Dispatcher roles can see the overview according to their capabilities; a pilot-only membership cannot manage the airline. The summary is intentionally compact: it can show up to eight issues and eight flights. A recent change may take a short time to appear.

When a panel is unavailable

Finance values are hidden when you do not have finance access. A temporary failure can hide analytics or make a workspace look empty. Use Try again on the overview, or reopen the management page if the workspace still appears incomplete.

A useful manager reading order

Start with Virtual Airlines Economy and Ticket Pricing to understand the treasury, then use Market audit for demand and route evidence, Finance for the recorded cash result, and Airline Reputation and Progression for long-term trust. That order helps separate an attractive-looking route from one that the airline can operate profitably and consistently.
